Utah 2007

During Spring Break this year, I wanted to visit a bunch of National Parks. Raja, Claire, and family joined us for Spring Break again this year, and we visited many National Parks. We went to Utah, where there are lots of National Parks all close together. We visited the following parks:

Zion National Park
- Lots of interesting rock formations, and good hiking
- We stayed at Zion Mountain Resort, where we went horsebackriding and saw Buffalos.
Bryce Canyon National Park
- We hiked to the bottom of the canyon and back up
- It was very cold at night. During the day it was not too bad, but much warmer at the bottom of the canyon
Capitol Reef National Park, where we saw petroglyphs
Goblin Valley State Park
Arches National Park
Canyonlands National Park

The kids were troopers, especially Bela. We did a lot of hiking -- some of it challenging. She not only did all the hikes, she wanted to make sure she was the first one to get to the end. So we'd be panting and she be calling to us to hurry up. She's got such great energy!

Raja had wanted to go river-rafting. We all went, but it was freezing! We'll have to find opportunities for more pleasurable rafting so we erase the bad memory.
