Spring 2006 Shows

We had a very busy Spring this year with three shows. At one time they were all overlapped. Gabe did two shows without us and did not join Bela and me in The Music Man.

Gabe got the role of Aladdin in Disney's Aladdin Jr. Besides the fact that he looks like Aladdin, the songs were great for him. He got to sing some of the well-loved songs from the movie "One Jump Ahead" and "A Whole New World", and dance in a "A Friend Like Me". It was a great role for him. And I was also very proud of his costumes -- I made them both, including the goofy shoes for Prince Ali!

Bela and I were in the Music Man with Pied Piper Players. This was a great show. It was more adult-oriented so we had a record 20 adults in the show. The show is well known, the music is great, and the choreography was high-energy. We both had a lot of fun in this show.

Gabe played Bickle, one of Ren's friends in Borel Middle School's production of Footloose. He played a cowboy, and the five cowboys had a very cute song and dance called Mama Says. At the end of the show the boys changed into tuxedos for the prom. That was adorable too.
